50 years ago this year these songs were released. I took the top 100 from Rolling Stone for 1967 and put them in the order in which I think they should have listed, since this was the decade of the music I grew up on. Enough of the formalities, here we go. Enjoy.

"Little Bit O' Soul" is a song written in 1964 by British songwriters, John Carter and Ken Lewis. It was originally recorded by Coventry band, The Little Darlings, and released in 1965 on Fontana Records. The song was popularized in the United States by The Music Explosion, whose version went to No. 1 on the Record World 100 Top Pops chart and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967. The single was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of one million copies. The Music Explosion's version is noted for its trademark bass riff played by Burton "Butch" Stahl. The song was released as a single and later appeared on the album of the same name.

Other versions ―
